On the RUN-way...

Well, what a week i have had! Starting with the Sebastian Hair and Fashion Show and continuing with Australia's Next Top Model Season 5 Launch Party.

Sebastian Hair and Fashion Show held at the PYD Building in Waterloo last Tuesday night, was such a creative and light filled start, with models strutting their mannequin poses in the window displays, stylists and socialites mingling in the pre-show, light fixture filled, gallery sized room, and moving on very spontaneously, following the cocktail waiters to a very dark and loud runway, in a factory style area, that looks like it used to be a parking lot, decorated with modernly funky decor!
Starting off the spectacular show were some very talented hip-hop, shaking-it, dancers. And then the FASHION show begins!
Wild and bright hair styles, glam rock fashion, and extremely high heeled shoes! Of course!
Followed by more mingling, mini food and mega drinks!

Australia's Next Top Model Season 5 Launch Party was held at the Technology Park in Eveleigh, kicking off with a chat with this years new host, Sarah Murdoch and judges Alex Perry and Charlotte Dawson. Next on the runway were the top 13 girls for Season 5. In their quirky outfits, they strut down the runway, in perfect formation, then get ready to pose for a group photo for us media photographers, who got to step up on the runway and attempt not to slip and fall.
The girls were gorgeous and smiley. As was Sarah Murdoch and Jordan Loukas, when I approached them for a photo.
Let's see tonight on FOX8 what it's all like OFF the runway...

Hang it!

Last christmas, i received a request from my sister-in-law Carol, to print her favourite photo of my brother and her jumping on a beach on the South Coast that i took. She wanted it printed on fabric to the size of their bed, to use as a bedspread.
This looked soooo good! But her change of mind turned it into a 1.5x1.5m piece of wall art! This hangs among all the other photos and canvas that turns her gorgeous white home into her own personal art gallery!

Some new art

This was from a shoot i did last year containing a scary amount of glitter, that continues to be found in my studio to this day!
At least my place looks all sparkly!
My fantastic make-up artist/friend Nicole + her fantastic friend/model Ava = sparkles and hot pictures!
After a bit of fiddling in photoshop, which i tend to do much after the shoot, i rediscover the creativity that time has kept hidden from me.
It was beautiful to start with; and i made it rough around the edges.

The First Blog...

Welcome to The First Blog... of many to come!
Firstly, I am 24 years old and I'm a Photographer from Sydney.
My studio's name is Blink & You'll Miss It Photography. Took me a while to decide on it, but I love it!
I am mostly passionate about creating a unique photo despite the subject.
My biggest inspiration is fashion photography that covers the pages of such magazines as Vogue and Frankie. And am always inspired by the very creative people i meet or don't meet.
If it were up to me, i would shoot everything with a Polaroid but we all know why that can't happen. Or even black and white film, that has left me with only the memories of spending many MANY hours in my darkroom. But as times change, so must this.
